Frequently asked questions
The questions visitors actually send us, answered the way we would want them answered.
Is WebAppsHub really free, or is there a catch?
It is free, and the business model is not a secret: the site carries advertising, which pays for the hosting. There is no subscription, no credits system, and no moment where a finished result is held back until you pay.
Do I need an account?
No. WebAppsHub has no accounts at all — every tool is open to everyone, with no sign-up and no login anywhere on the site.
What happens to files I open in a tool?
For image, PDF and text tools: nothing leaves your device. The work runs inside your browser, which is why big files finish instantly and why there is no upload progress bar. Close the tab and the file's visit here is over completely.
The YouTube tools fetch information — where does it come from?
From YouTube's own public pages, the same data your browser receives when you open a channel or video. The tools tidy it up and present it. They cannot see private videos, unlisted channels' hidden data, or anything YouTube does not already show the public.
Why did a tool tell me something “is not available”?
Because it is not. Some videos were never given an HD thumbnail; some channels never wrote keywords. The tools here would rather give you a truthful “not there” than a confident-sounding invention — that honesty is the house rule.
How do the star ratings on tool pages work?
Real visitors rate tools with one tap — no account, no name, no email. Ratings are stored, checked in the background for duplicates and bots, and averaged honestly. A tool with no ratings says “no ratings yet” until somebody real rates it; nothing is pre-filled.
I need a tool that is not here. What should I do?
Go to Request a Tool and describe it. Requests are counted, and the most-requested tools are what get built next. It genuinely is the queue, not a suggestion box that empties into the sea.
Something is not working. Who do I tell?
Use the Contact page or write to undefined. Say which tool, what you put into it, and what happened instead — those three details fix most things fastest.
Can I use WebAppsHub tools for my business or clients?
Yes. The tools are free for personal and commercial work alike — convert client images, prepare documents, check the numbers. The outputs are yours; the only thing we ask is that bulk automated scraping stays away, so the site stays fast for everyone.
