About this tool

Your own time sits at the top, detected from your device — never assumed. Below it is the whole planet: every time zone there is, grouped by region, each one ticking live with its date and its difference from you. Looking for one place? Search the zones right on this page, or tap a popular city to jump straight to it.

This is the page to open before scheduling anything across borders. A client in Toronto, family in Sydney, a match starting in London — find the zone, read its clock, and the “wait, are they ahead or behind us?” question answers itself in the difference column.

How to use the World Clock

Questions people ask

How many time zones are listed?

All of them — the complete official IANA time zone list, the same database phones and computers use. It runs to several hundred zones once you include every region and island.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Times come from the official timezone rules built into your browser, which already know when each city springs forward or falls back — that is why London is 4 hours behind Karachi in summer and 5 in winter.

Why does the top show my own time zone?

So the difference column makes sense. Every zone is compared against where you actually are, detected from your own device — open this page in America and it compares against American time.

Some cities share a zone. Which name do I look for?

Zones are named after a representative city, not every city. Karachi's zone also covers the rest of Pakistan; Lahore and Islamabad run on the same Asia/Karachi clock.
