About this tool

Channels can set channel-wide keywords in their settings: the topics they want YouTube to associate them with. Paste a channel link or @handle and this tool reads those keywords from the channel's public page data and lines them up as copyable tags.

Used well, this is positioning research. Look at three channels in your niche and you will see how the focused ones describe themselves — a handful of tight topic phrases — versus the scattered ones listing everything they have ever filmed. Then write your own channel keywords with your eyes open.

Worth knowing: Channel keywords are a minor signal in how YouTube understands a channel — they help, they do not rank you by themselves. Plenty of excellent channels leave the field empty, and this tool will report exactly that: no keywords set.

How to use the YouTube Channel Tags Extractor

Questions people ask

Where do these keywords come from?

From the channel keywords the owner typed in YouTube Studio settings, which YouTube includes in the channel's public page data. The tool reads and tidies them — nothing is guessed.

The tool says no keywords were found. Is it broken?

Almost certainly not — many channels simply never filled the field in, or cleared it. An empty result here is a true answer about that channel.

Should I copy a big channel's keywords to my channel?

Copy the thinking, not the list. Your keywords should describe your channel truthfully; borrowing a famous channel's name as a keyword does not transfer their audience and can look spammy.
